It was great. anywho, the semester ends for me tomorrow and I can't even wait. I'm so ready to go home and be with my family, after all...there's no place like home for the holidays. Ash and I have a bucket list to complete this winter break, and it.will.get.done. Also, Jordan comes home in like 50 hours!! no more counting down the days, I'm counting the HOURS!!!! anyways, enjoy the pics :)

Just in case I don't get to it in the next 12 days...
Merry Christmas!
Enjoy the holidays with the ones you love.

Thanksgiving break this year was a good one. I went home Wednesday night after work for the weekend. A whole weekend free of no school or work, and it was much needed. My Thanksgiving this year was small, it was everyones "off" year, so the siblings were all at their in-laws. So our dinner was my parents, my grandpa and my brother and his girlfriend. The other siblings later joined though along with my cousins to hang out and have some dessert. We talked and played some games and killed some time till it was time to go BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING!!! We started early this year. Walmart opened up at 10, so we were there around 9:45, then hit up Target, the mall, Old Navy etc. etc etc. We shopped all night and all morning till about noon the next day. We slept maybe an hour and a half through that night. It was so fun! I did kinda regret it the next day when I was tired, but it was still way fun. It was fun to be with my mom and sister. My sister gets really into it, and was singing "it's black Friday, black Friday" (to the tune of Friday by Rebeca Black) allll night long. She was excited for it all. haha By Aunt and Cousin joined us for about half the night, it was great to be with the girls, doing what we do best. But let me just tell you, black Friday brings out the cray crays, that's all. Friday night and Saturday night consisted of reunion time. I was able to hang out with some high school friends, that I haven't seen in a while, and it was good to see them and just talk and catch up. The next time we all get together, Jordan will be home, so it's pretty exciting! Some other exciting news...NBA will be starting back up on Christmas...MERRY FREAKING CHRISTMAS!!! I'm so excited, I can hardly even stand it. Christmas Break is going to be one of the best ones yet. So many things to look forward to and the most exciting...almost a whole month off of school! BOO YA! December 14, you cannot come soon enough :)

pics from post long time no see...

long time no see

Well, it's been awhile since I have blogged. and to be honest...you haven't missed too much. Not too much happened between the end of August to September...but on September 25, I celebrated my 22nd birthday...yuck! Also, that night started the sad loss of my sweet grandma. We ended up taking her to the ER that night, and that's where it all started. We took her in because the last few weeks she hadn't been doing well. We went over to see her the night of my birthday, and sadly she could hardly even talk. She was trying to talk, but you couldn't really make out what she was saying. We called the doctors and they suggested to take her to the ER that night. My grandpa and parents took her there...it was so hard to go back to Provo not knowing what was going on. Turns out she had a bladder infection and a few other things wrong, nothing we thought was too serious, and they said she should be out of here in just a few short days. they were wrong, she ended up being there all week. I went to go visit her as often as I could between work and school, and I'm so glad I was able to. Half the time, she didn't know who we were or couldn't talk to us, but you could tell in her eyes she was happy to see us there. I headed up the first weekend of October for conference and to be with the family. We thought she was doing good and getting better at this point. While the boys were at their priesthood meeting Saturday night, us girls decided to take my mom out to get her mind off of things. It worked for a little bit, and then she was ready to head back to the hospital, and it was a good thing she wanted to then...as soon as we got back from the hospital, they were rushing my grandma down to ICU. not what we were expecting or wanted to see. turns out she had some carbon dioxide in her blood and needed to keep a close eye on her. so that whole next week she was in ICU with a breathing tube and a feeding tube down her throat, we weren't able to talk to her that whole week. Of course when you would go see her, you could see the love in her eyes and she would squeeze your hand. Later that week, we found out she had cancer and that it had spread...to fight it off, she would have had to go through Chemo and even then, we didn't know if she would be able to fight it. My grandpa had a tough decision that weekend whether to fight it, or take off what pretty much was life support. We left the decision up to him, and knew he would do the right thing, even if it was the hardest thing. Monday October 10, I got a text from my mom that my grandpa needed her to meet him at the hospital, not much later, I found out they were taking her off the life support and it could be a couple hours to a couple days before she was gone. I left as soon as I could from work...but not soon enough. As I was walking in the hospital, I got a text from my sister that she had gone. I was just minutes short of saying my last goodbye. it was so hard to walk into that hospital knowing that. I raced up to the 4th floor and was just sobbing. I got to go back to the room and see her one last time. As hard as it was to say goodbye, I know that she's in a better place right now and isn't suffering, and now I have the sweetest angel watching over me. That day I spent with my family, then headed back to Provo to pack up and head home for the week. I was able to get school and work taken care of so I could spend the week with my family. It was really hard the rest of the week to see my grandpa so heart broken. They lived a happy life together and a long life together. If I remember right, it was 58 years they spent together. It was so hard to go to their house and not seeing my grandma in her chair as you walk in the door. It was really hard for my family as well, we've never had someone on this side of our family pass away. That week, I spent 99% of my time with my grandpa and mom. I was able to help plan the funeral and get things ready for that. It was so great that week to see how much people really care for our family. I was so amazed and felt so blessed at the love and support from family, friends and neighbors. That Friday night was the viewing and Saturday was the funeral. The funeral could not have gone any better. My cousin spoke on behalf of the grand kids, my sister and I got to sing. That meant so much to me. As hard as it was to do, I know that's exactly what my grandma wanted, and we did it for her. My uncle spoke, my mom played the piano, we had my grandmas friends speak and my cousin sang as well. It honestly was so great, and so fun to hear memories of my sweet grandma. I still, to this day, can't believe she's gone. Not a days gone by, that I don't think of her. I miss her so much. This holiday season won't be the same...but we have our family to get through it. I love my family so much and am so blessed to have them in my life. My mom has been so strong through this, and she has been such an example. I love you Grandma.

ps. sorry for the long post, that's not even really the FULL story...

life right now is...well, crazy! so much going on with the end of the semester. Just finished classes today, and am getting ready to move home for the summer. it is really bittersweet. I am excited to move home and be with my friends and family all the time, but at the same time, I'm going to miss Provo and my amazing friends and roommates down here! I've always wanted to stay down here in the summer (it's suppose to be a blast) and I keep telling myself next summer....well it's next summer and I'm moving home. but it's good this time. I'm going to buy a new car, I have friends coming home from missions, and I get to be with my family more :) so excited to have adventures with my bestie. I just love Miss Ashley Bell!

ReAL games, Bee's games, Gossip Girl, Bachelor Pad, 90210, drive inns, road trips, shopping, and so much more....

cheers to Summer of 2011
